Where are we up to with the LOOK study testing?
We have now assessed various aspects of health from age 8 to 16 years among the LOOK study participants. We anticipate that the next measurements phase will be conducted in 2018, at age 21 years.
What are the benefits of participating?
All participants of the study receive free health assessments within the scope of the LOOK measurements. There will be absolutely no costs to participants
To get through the Ethics Committees we had to demonstrate our methods relating to confidentiality. Data are stored within our system in number code form only. All statistical work involves the number code and not the name of the child. Certainly individual reports will be addressed to the parent and child and will be treated as strictly confidential.
All procedures have been examined by The ACT Health Human Research Ethics Committee and/or at the University involved. These committees are highly experienced in ensuring that all research complies with the highest standards of safety, care, purpose and confidentiality.
